Shaft/blast furnace with circular cross section. The shell is made of steel plate, and the shell is lined with firebrick.

The blast furnace body is divided into five parts from top to bottom: throat, body, waist, belly and cylinder. The blast furnace has the advantages of good economic index, simple process, large production, high labor efficiency and low energy consumption, etc..

The raw materials used for blast furnace smelting mainly consist of three parts: iron ore, fuel (coke), and flux (limestone).

During blast furnace production, iron ore, coke, and slag making flux (limestone) are loaded from the top of the furnace, and preheated air is blown in from the tuyere located at the bottom of the furnace along the furnace circumference.

At high temperatures, the carbon in coke (some blast furnaces also inject auxiliary fuels such as coal powder, heavy oil, and natural gas) and the oxygen blown into the air are burned to produce carbon monoxide and hydrogen. During the process of rising in the furnace, the oxygen in the iron ore is removed, thereby reducing to obtain iron.

The molten iron produced is discharged from the iron mouth.

Unreduced impurities in iron ore combine with fluxes such as limestone to form slag, which is discharged from the slag outlet.

The generated gas is discharged from the top of the furnace, and after dust removal, it is used as fuel for hot air furnaces, heating furnaces, coke ovens, boilers, etc.

The main product of blast furnace smelting is pig iron, as well as by-products such as blast furnace slag and blast furnace gas.

1. Blast furnace smelting - first phase

1. Scale of construction

The construction of the blast furnace production line in this project mainly consists of 1 × 90m2 sintering machine(with an annual output of 930,000 tons of sinter ore)and 1×450m3 blast furnace, can produce about 550,000 tons of pig iron.


1.2.2 Sintering system

(1)Sintering process

Build a new 90m2 belt sintering machine with an annual output of 930,000 tons of sintered ore. Including the following content:
    1)Raw material (fuel) processing system
    2)Batching system
    3)Mixing system (first mixed, second mixed)
    4)Main sintering system
    5)Sinter cooling system
    6)Cold ore granulation system
    7)Finished product warehouse type, finished product ore conveying system
    8)Tail dust removal system
    9)Head dust removal system
The annual operation time of the sintering machine is 330 days, the utilization coefficient of the sintering machine is 1.3t/m2h, and the annual output of 930,000 tons of sintering can be calculated.


(2)Composition of sintering workshop

The main production system of the sintering workshop consists of the following 5 parts:
1)Fuel preparation system: including fuel coarse crushing chamber and fuel fine crushing chamber.
2)Batching and mixing system: including a batching chamber, a primary mixing chamber and a secondary mixing chamber.
3)Sintering and cooling system: including sintering cooling chamber, electric dust removal of machine head, main shaft fan chamber, waste heat recovery system, main chimney.
4)Granulation system: including finished product screening chamber and finished sinter bin.
5)Cold return mining and ash conveying system.
