It is currently the main production method in electrode production.

2, Process flow
2.1. Process Description
The manufacturing process of welding electrodes requires multiple steps, which can be summarized into eight main steps:
1. Processing of welding cores
a. The carbon steel coil is subjected to a shell stripping and rust removal process using a shell stripping machine to clean the oxide scale and rust spots on the surface of the coil.
b. Use a pointed rolling machine to roll the wire rod into a conical shape, and pass the pointed conical wire rod through the drawing tool.
c. Use a wire drawing machine to thin the wire rod to the diameter required for producing welding cores.
d. Use a wire cutter to straighten and cut the wire rod into welding cores.
2. Powder pairing
According to the requirements of producing different grades and specifications of welding rods, mix various raw material welding powders in proportion.
3. Water glass
According to the requirements of producing different grades and specifications of welding rods, mix them into water glass with different densities.
4. Mixing
a. Use a mixer to dry mix the welding powder and mix it evenly.
b. Add water glass to the evenly mixed dry welding powder and wet stir the welding powder.
5. Coating and pressing process
a. There are two types of coating and pressing methods, namely:;
Spiral coating: The wire feeder forcibly feeds the processed welding core into the spiral coating machine from a 45 ° direction. The screw cutter of the spiral machine pushes the mixed welding powder forward and applies it to the surface of the welding core through the machine head.
Hydraulic coating: Place the welding powder ball into the hydraulic coating machine, and the wire feeder forcibly feeds the processed welding core into the hydraulic coating machine from a 45 ° direction. The hydraulic coating machine pushes the powder ball forward and applies the welding powder to the surface of the welding core through the machine head.
b. After the powder coating is completed, the welding core falls onto the grinding head and tail machine, and after grinding out the arc starting end and clamping end of the welding electrode, it becomes the welding electrode.
c. The welding electrodes are transported to the front auxiliary line equipment through the grinding head and tail machine, and the eccentricity and defective products of the welding electrodes are inspected. The unqualified welding electrodes are recycled and reused before production.
